motorcycle awareness campaignIn support of Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month this May, William Mattar law offices is launching a new motorcycle safety awareness campaign, urging all drivers to be extra cautious as motorcyclists come out of hibernation and head back onto New York’s roads. In an effort to help reduce the number of motorcycle accident injuries and fatalities, the goal of this campaign is to remind all motorists to share the road and to watch for motorcycles. Motorcycle riders face numerous safety challenges when compared to other motor vehicle drivers.

“Every year hundreds of motorcyclists are either seriously injured or lose their lives in motorcycle crashes throughout New York. Often this is due to another motorist’s distracted driving or failure to check their blind spots when switching lanes or turning. Motorcycles can be hard to see and sometimes it’s hard to judge how fast they’re traveling, so through this campaign, we want to remind all drivers of the challenges that face bikers and to be extra diligent when sharing the road. Staying focused and alert could help to prevent an accident,” said William Mattar.

Throughout May, William Mattar law offices will raise motorcycle safety awareness through its social media pages and provide tips to drivers so that they can help to prevent crashes with motorcyclists. By raising awareness for motorcycle safety, together William Mattar law offices and the community can work towards making roadways safer for everyone.
