Six Teens Injured in New York Car Accident

Six New York boys were seriously as a result of a two-vehicle collision. A story from the Times Herald-Record said the accident happened at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Thursday night, at the intersection of State Route 302 and Ulsterville Road in Crawford, New York.

Officers with the Crawford Police Department stated their initial investigation shows a black Acura sedan was following a red Jeep carrying five passengers. When the Acura struck the rear-end of the Jeep, the SUV rolled several times before coming to rest on the side of the highway.

One occupant of the Jeep was airlifted to a Valhalla hospital for treatment for head and leg injuries, while the others were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the New York car accident.

Recent studies show that teenage male drivers are at the highest risk of being involved in a car accident. Research from the National Safety Council shows 16-year-old males had the highest number of accidents of any age demographic examined, with 210 drivers per 1,000 being involved in accidents.
