Anna Donnelly

Anna D.

Anna Donnelly is an attorney with William Mattar, P.C., where she is dedicated to helping injured individuals navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Having been part of the William Mattar team since 2021—first as a full-time staff member and later as a law clerk throughout law school—Anna brings both experience and a deep understanding of the firm’s mission to make a difference for every client.

Anna is a Western New York native from Lancaster, New York. She earned her undergraduate degrees from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Women’s Studies. She also completed a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration at Niagara University. During her academic career, Anna was an NCAA Division I lacrosse student-athlete and an All-American Scholar-Athlete. She was actively involved in campus advocacy efforts, including serving as Student Coordinator for Take Back the Night, an internationally recognized event focused on raising awareness of sexual and domestic violence. Her commitment to advocacy extended into her professional training through an internship with the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office and certification in Victim Advocacy following completion of Victims’ Assistance Training through the Office for Victims of Crime.

Anna earned her Juris Doctor from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While in law school, she distinguished herself through leadership and advocacy, earning a CALI Award in Trial Advocacy, induction into the Order of the Barristers, and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award. She was actively involved in the First-Generation Law Society, National Plaintiffs Law Association, and Women’s Law Association, and participated in meaningful pro bono work, including helping to open a women’s shelter and food pantry in downtown Pittsburgh. Anna was admitted to practice law in New York in January 2026 and is a member of both the Erie County Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers and Women in the Law divisions.

As a personal injury attorney, Anna is especially passionate about the storytelling aspect of the law. She believes every client has a unique story that deserves to be heard and treated with care. She is inspired by the opportunity to guide clients through vulnerable times with compassion, clarity, and trust. Anna’s personal values strongly align with William Mattar’s purpose of making a difference—not only by achieving outcomes, but by ensuring clients feel supported and never alone throughout the legal process.

Outside of the office, Anna enjoys spending time with her dog and loved ones, running, weightlifting, and diving into a new book series whenever she can.
