What is Pencils 4 Schools?

It’s time for the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools program! Teachers, school principals and educators are encouraged to participate. To date, we have donated over 2.2 million pencils to teachers and students throughout the communities we serve and are looking forward to helping more classrooms again this year.

At William Mattar, P.C., we know that education is key to a successful future. With school budgets decreasing, many teachers purchase supplies for their students with their own money. The William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools program helps lessen this financial burden for teachers.

Our goal is to help local educators and students achieve their academic goals; having enough school supplies on your first day is a great way to start.

Event Info

Eligible teachers will receive a Pencil Pickup Invitation for the in-person pickup on August 16, 2025, at our Williamsville office (6720 Main Street, Williamsville, NY 14221) from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. If you cannot attend, designate someone to pick up for you with your invitation. 

This is the only available day for you to pick up your pencils. No pickups outside scheduled times.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?

New York State teachers can request a bulk box of 250 pencils for their classroom.

Here’s the process:

  1. Registration Confirmation: After submitting your request, you’ll receive an autoreply
    email confirming receipt. This email is not your Pencil Pickup Invitation.
  2. Pencil Pickup Invitation: You’ll receive a separate email by August 14, 2025, if you’re
    eligible for pickup. For those qualifying for shipping, a notification will be sent by
    August 18, 2025.
  3. Outside Western NY: Eligible teachers will receive pencils shipped directly to the
    school address provided.

* Registrants must be a resident of New York State and scheduled to teach in New York State during the 2025/2026 school year to register for this program. The registration period for the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools Program begins on August 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST. The registration for the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools Program ends on August 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST, but may end earlier if all available registration slots for pencils are claimed. If the registration form is not filled out correctly or in its entirety, the entry may be disqualified. Please note that filling out a registration form does not guarantee that you will receive a pencil donation. Supplies are limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations exceeds the number of pencils available, we reserve the right to close registrations at that time. Employees of William Mattar, P.C. and their family members are not eligible to register for this program.
