William Mattar Law Offices Launches the 2020 Pencils 4 Schools Program

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for our annual William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools program!

This year’s program has a new look, but the goal remains the same – to provide pencils for educators and their students. Beginning today, teachers located in the Buffalo area may register for our Pencils 4 Schools drive-thru pencil pick up, taking place on Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at William Mattar’s Williamsville office. The pencil drive-thru event will be completely contactless to keep all participating event staff and teachers safe.

“2020 has been a year of challenges for educators, parents, and students in our community. It seems more and more teachers end up purchasing school supplies for their students with their own money. The William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools program helps to alleviate some of this burden for teachers and helps students get ready for classes by providing them with a basic classroom tool, a pencil,” said William Mattar.

Current Buffalo area school administrators, teachers, and educators may register for the August 15^th drive-thru event through our online registration form. Registration will remain open until all spots are filled. Please note that space is limited, and you must pre-register to attend the event.

William Mattar is also donating a total of 20,000 pencils to Rochester and Syracuse area school districts for this year’s program, bringing our cumulative pencil donations to nearly 2 million. Teachers located in the Rochester and Syracuse area can request pencils for their classroom by registering their school district. Pencils will be shipped to school administrators, who will then distribute to teachers and classrooms.
