Welcomes Attorney Karen Curtin Buffalo Car Accident Attorney Karen Curtin, Esq.William Mattar law offices is pleased to announce Karen Curtin, Esq., has joined the firm’s attorney staff. She will focus her practice in the firm’s litigation department helping individuals injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents. A life-long resident of Western New York, Ms. Curtin received her B.A., with Honors, from Canisius College, and her J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she was recognized with an award of Honors with Accommodation in Research and Writing. Prior to joining William Mattar law offices, Ms. Curtin represented individuals in personal injury matters on both the defense and plaintiffs’ sides, including representation of large plaintiff class actions, where multiple people were injured. She also served as Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Buffalo Law Department and as Counsel to the Superintendents of the Buffalo Public Schools. According to Ms. Curtin, “My favorite part in practicing law is the ability to give each client a voice, and to be heard, during a time of distress in their lives.” Advocating zealously for each client is both Ms. Curtin’s and Mr. Mattar’s philosophy. Admitted to practice law in New York State, as well as the Western District of New York Federal Court, Ms. Curtin has conducted and defended thousands of depositions and held trials in both state, county, and federal court. Ms. Curtin has also spent the majority of her career advocating for the rights and well-being of others, and currently serves as a Board Member of the Maria Love Convalescent Fund, an At-Large Member of the Nichols Parents Association, and as a former board member of the Junior Group of the Albright- Knox Art Gallery, The S.T.A.T.E. Board (Sensitive to a Toxic Environment) and the Clean Air Coalition.
