Safe NY Hosting Several Events to Promote Child Passenger Safety

Sept. 21, 2012 The New York State traffic safety agency, Safe NY, is hosting several programs to promote the safety of children in motor vehicles. According to a press release from the agency, this week has been dubbed Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Week. Over the last several days, several classes and seminars were hosted across New York to educate the public on ways to keep their children safe. The week culminates with “National Seat Check Saturday” tomorrow. During the event, children’s safety seats can be safety inspected by a professional in parents’ vehicles. This is important, as experts find that more than 70 percent of safety and booster seats are not installed in the way the manufacturer intended. The agency is also promoting the upcoming NHTSA Region 2 CPS Technical Conference at the Sheraton Atlantic City Hotel and Conference Center on Oct. 25-27. The newest safety information and technology in preventing injuries will be presented to those in attendance, which may help to reduce future injuries to children in Buffalo Car Accidents. The event will also allow attendees to become certified in proper CPR techniques. The Personal Injury Attorneys with the William Mattar Law Offices believe better safety education leads to fewer accidents with injuries. That is why the firm encourages anyone interested in ensuring better child passenger safety to attend an event during the program.
