Woman’s Buffalo Car Accident Injury Caused by Drunk Driver

July 29, 2013 Drunk driving has become a major issue in the Buffalo region. Each year, dozens of people are injured or killed in the city as a result of motor vehicle crashes caused by intoxicated drivers. One woman was left with a Buffalo Car Accident Injury after a collision caused by a drunk driver. The crash happened on Saturday, July 27, along the Scajaquada Expressway, near Parkside Avenue. According to an article released by WGRZ 2 News, a vehicle had stopped along the side of the expressway when it was suddenly struck from behind by another car. The impact of the crash left the driver of the vehicle that was struck injured. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators later determined the 25-year-old driver from Amherst, New York, who was responsible for causing the crash, was drunk at the time of the collision. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI). The collision underscores the threat that drunk drivers pose not only to themselves, but to every other motorist that they share the road with. The Buffalo Personal Injury Lawyers with William Mattar Law Offices recognize these hazards and ask that all drivers do their part to keep New York’s highways and roads safe by refraining from drinking and driving. Instead, call a cab or loved one to get you home safely.
