Six Sustain Car Crash Injuries in Buffalo During the Weekend

July 22, 2013 Six people suffered Car Crash Injuries as the result of a collision on Saturday. Records show the accident happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 20, at the corner of Clinton and Oak Streets, just east of Niagara Square. According to a story released by WGRZ 2 News, a car carrying five passengers was traveling eastbound along Clinton Avenue. As they approached the intersection with Oak Street, the light turned green and the vehicle entered the crossing. However, a cab traveling southbound along Oak failed to stop at a red light and entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided. Paramedics transported the victims, including three children, to a nearby hospital for further treatment and examination. The accident highlights the serious dangers motor vehicle accidents can pose and leaves many citizens wondering what they can do to protect themselves and their loved ones from such risks. The Buffalo Personal Injury Lawyers with William Mattar Law Offices explain that simply wearing a seat belt will dramatically decrease the chances of injury or death in the event of an accident. Studies have shown that seatbelts cut the chance of death in half for those involved in crashes. That is why the firm is committed to a “Buckle Your Belt” campaign aimed at raising public awareness on the importance of wearing seat belts.
