Supervisor

Patty is our lead receptionist. She is exactly who you would want to greet you at the front door! Patty is a master of multi-tasking as she balances many office duties while directing calls, greeting clients & comfortably seating them for appointments. In her free time, Patty enjoys gardening, bowling and her dogs, Marcus and Kelly.

Receptionist

Kelly is a great addition to our reception team. She is always happy to help callers, clients and guests feel welcome. Whether she is assisting in person or by phone, you will be able to tell how much she enjoys her duties helping people as part of the William Mattar team.

Receptionist

Originally from North Tonawanda, Cheryl is a great addition to our reception team as she loves people, and working with a friendly team that’s responsive to everyone’s needs.  She has varied interests outside of the office and says, “I love going to concerts mostly country, but I like the oldies too! I like working with children, too, and taught Sunday school for many years.”

Intake Manager

Angela’s favorite parts of being a part of the William Mattar team are talking to people, supporting them, and sharing her legal knowledge and experience with them to help make their situations easier. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her three dogs: Simon, Lily, and Daisy. She also loves checking out local shops and restaurants.

Legal Assistant for Intake, Team Lead

Lisa tells us, “I love being part of a great team that helps people during a difficult time in their lives.” And it shows in her daily activities at the firm, from opening new case files to working with staff to determine the best ways to help new clients. When she is not helping people in the office, she enjoys pending time with her friends and family and being on her family’s boat.

When talking about what Lexi enjoys most about her job, she said “Helping people who desperately need it.” In her free time, she enjoys hanging with friends, cooking and going to the gym.

“I love the positive environment and the amazing people that work here.” Angela has a wonderful time outside of the office as well, enjoying time with her children, dancing, and being with family whenever she can.

Laura says that being at the firm is a big change for her but she loves it! She says, “Everyone is so friendly and willing to help whenever you need. I’m thankful to work in such a welcoming, family oriented environment.” Laura’s free time is either spent with her boyfriend, painting or practicing cosmetology.

Chelsea’s favorite part of her job is helping people get the assistance they need after an accident. In her spare time, she likes to browse the local bookstore for the latest books and volunteer at animal rescues. She also enjoys going the gym, spending time with her family and friends, and trying new things.

Mike Williams is able to help people when they come to us, and he always makes sure to answer all of their initial questions. He loves bicycling, especially when it involves volunteer events. Mike also enjoys hockey and skiing.

John has been an important part of team for many years working with clients during all stages of their cases. He has been a client liaison in many ways, namely bringing paperwork to clients unable to make it in to one of our offices, for signatures to help them move their cases forward. A Buffalo, NY native, Arianna loves working with her team who she describes as ‘so friendly and supportive.’  Some of her favorite activities include cooking, dancing, and spending time outdoors.

Richie hails from West Seneca, NY, and is an excellent addition to our team. He values his role as a support system for those calling for our services. He enjoys the culture at William Mattar, particularly how everyone is friendly and communicates well. Richie also enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music (especially seeing live music), playing video games, and watching movies.

Hailing from Hamburg, NY, Daniel likes helping others at a time when they need more understanding and care. He really enjoys the welcoming and friendly atmosphere at William Mattar. Daniel has a passion for Mother Nature, and says, “I love hiking, and skiing in the winter, and I love being outside in general.”

Samantha is from Wheatfield, NY. One element that makes her a great fit for her role at the firm is that she likes being able to help victims when they need it the most, ensuring that they know they are cared for. She says she appreciates how the team at William Mattar is always there for each other and everyone has a positive attitude. When she is not helping clients or enjoying the camaraderie at the office, she loves going out to eat and trying new restaurants.

Kennedy is from Gasport, NY, and likes working in a team environment at the firm with friendly staff always there to help and support each other. Outside of working with the team to help clients, Kennedy enjoys cuddling with her cats, reading books, going to the movies, yoga, and the gym.

Marko is from Amherst, NY. He says he loves helping people, especially having the opportunity to go above and beyond for them. What does he like the most about William Mattar law offices? The environment, the team, and knowing that the team is always ready to help.  During personal time, Marko says, “I love to travel; traveling is my passion. I have visited three continents, and I’m looking forward to exploring all seven.”

Cassi says, “I love being able to help people—both the clients I talk to, as well as my coworkers.” Outside of work, she loves to read and spend time with family, friends, and her dog. Cassi also loves to travel whenever she gets the opportunity.

Mattie is from Akron, NY. One amazing thing about her is that she loves learning the stories and backgrounds of our clients and finds it incredibly fulfilling. Being part of the William Mattar team, she likes how the firm is really focused on giving back to the community, both inside and outside of the office. Some her her favorite things outside the office are hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her pets.

Cathy feels that when she helps clients, she is also “giving them their lives back.” She recognizes the importance of treating each client with respect and compassion. Cathy looks forward to regular family gatherings, reading, and enjoying music in her free time.

Tressa values working towards resolving cases for injury victims, so they can pick up the pieces and move on from a bad point in their lives. Outside of the office, Tressa volunteers with the Girl Scouts and also enjoys hiking, reading, photography, lifting weights, and visiting new places.

When asked what she likes most about the firm, Samara said “I like working with my team and being able to help our clients through the entirety of their case”. Outside of the office, Samara enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills!

Tricia

Motor Vehicle Legal Assistant

Wilson, NY native, Tricia, loves how the whole firm is treated like a family and everyone is respected, and she has found a great home at William Mattar. “For the longest time I have been interested in law. Becoming a Paralegal was the thing I knew I wanted to accomplish in life. One of my nicknames growing up was Legally Blonde. I will always love to help people that are going through hard times. The most rewarding times are when clients reach out to you and explain the impact that you made on their lives. Those are the moments we should all live for.”

She is a huge Buffalo sports fan, a Bandits season ticket holder, and when she’s not cheering on her favorite teams, she loves to travel with her husband.

Alex

Motor Vehicle Legal Assistant

Alex is from Rochester, NY, and is part of our Rochester office team. He says “our kind and hard-working team motivates me to contribute to the best of my ability. Also, knowing that our hard work leads to justice for our clients makes each task throughout the day a bit easier.” Alex balances work with personal time as he enjoys spending time with his family and girlfriend, Emily. He continues. “I like to read and watch football (sorry Bills fans, go Patriots!). As a hobby, I collect and study US coins.”

Serena

Serena is from Barker, New York. As part of our pre-litigation team, she likes being able to set personal goals for herself while she grows a career she enjoys! Serena says, “The firm as a whole works as a team, and a lot of work gets poured into each case/client so it is rewarding to watch the movement in all the departments working together.” Outside of championing for clients, she enjoys playing outside with her daughter and trying new restaurants.

Chris Goodman is from Syracuse, New York, and is emersed in learning more about working in law, and ensuring our clients’ interests are well represented. One thing he enjoys most about William Mattar is that there is a great work-life balance, and everyone is very helpful and supportive of each other. When he is not thinking about law and helping clients, he likes watching sports like football, basketball, and soccer. He also enjoys seeing a good movie and generally trying new things.

Motor Vehicle Legal Assistant Intern

Will is from West Seneca, NY, and is focused on helping others achieve their goals. He likes the teamwork, attitudes, and willingness to help others that he sees his William Mattar teammates display, and observes this is uncommon in many workplaces. Outside of the firm, he enjoys painting and making ceramics.

Tahlya

Motor Vehicle Legal Assistant 

“I was born and raised in New York City and my family is Puerto Rican. Knowing that my job enables me to help people from all walks of life and that I can make an ever greater impact when I become an attorney is exciting.” She admires the culture at the firm, especially how the team provides the support and consideration needed to thrive at work.  Tahlya has many interests and a very full schedule. She says, “If I’m not at school or in the office, I like to cook, read or catch up on sleep. I also try to dedicate time to social justice causes that help mentor Hispanic and minorities to navigate the field of law.”

Danny is from East Aurora, NY. He says, “I’m motivated by our ability to help clients recover and emerge from incredibly difficult moments in their lives.” He likes being part of the William Mattar team, and how everyone is welcoming and helpful. Danny has a great love of Buffalo and its great outdoors and tells us, “I’m a huge Bills fan and I enjoy spending time outdoors, including hiking, camping, and canoeing.”

Joseph

Motor Vehicle Legal Assistant 

Joseph is from North Tonawanda, New York. He says, “I am driven to help others in any capacity I can. Even when I joined the Army I decided to be a combat medic because I wanted to be the reason people made it back home. Now I see law as an opportunity to advocate for people and provide guidance in an otherwise tedious landscape.” When not focused on helping people, he finds time to enjoy working out, boxing, playing video games, and taking motorcycle rides with friends.

Tiffany

Tiffany joins our team as a native of Woodbury, NY, who currently resides near our principal office in the Buffalo, NY  area. Several things inspire her to do a great job as a part of the William Mattar team, and she says, “I think the people at work, and our clients inspire me to do my job. I love helping people and we are constantly helping people in big ways. I love that the firm’s commitment to making everyone feel like family also extends to within the firm itself.” Tiffany has many interests including reading, cooking, gaming, and watching crime shows.

Alec is originally from Pittsford, NY, and is part of our Rochester office team. He says, “The opportunities to help people in difficult circumstances and give back to my community inspire me to do my job.” Alec observes how everyone at the firm is passionate about their work, knowledgeable, and happy to offer their support when possible. Truly a team! Outside of office life, he enjoys running alongside the Erie Canal, going to the movies, and traveling to new places.

Maheea is from Buffalo, NY, and is excited to be part of our legal team as she enjoys helping colleagues and clients alike. She likes the friendly atmosphere and enjoys the treats that often find their way to the breakrooms for the team. Maheea likes to spend time catching up with her friends, and catching up on sleep to keep refreshed for her time with clients.

Part of our legal assistants team, Anastasia is from Dix Hills, New York. She observes how the team at William Mattar is always welcoming and friendly not just from her department, but anyone she interacts with throughout the day.  When it comes to working with clients, she says, “What inspires me is the ability to not only help individuals in these difficult situations but to also be able to connect with them and make them feel cared for.” Outside of the office, she can be found spending quality time with friends, trying new restaurants, and going to the gym.

Allison is from Buffalo, NY, and as one of our legal assistants, says she loves to build relationships with clients. She will quickly tell you that she likes how the William Mattar team is very friendly and helpful not only as we work with clients, but are supportive of each other. What does Allison like to do when she is not busy helping people? She can be found enjoying yoga, pickleball, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog Ellie.

Hannah is from Brocton, NY, and says that part of what she likes about being part of the team is knowing the work being done is helping people try to move forward from a traumatic and frustrating event and time in their lives. Regarding the William Mattar team, she tells us she is impressed by, “The willingness and readiness of everyone to help one another while still expecting that everyone do their part to the best of their ability and continue to work hard to improve.” As for interests and activities outside the firm, she likes cleaning and organizing, drawing, baking, and caring for stepchildren, nieces and nephews, and animals.

Jack is from Hamburg, New York, and is currently an intern with our pre-litigation department. What inspires him to help people as part of our team? He says, “I am inspired by my ambition of becoming a lawyer one day.”  Jack also tells us he likes how friendly the atmosphere is at William Mattar. In addition to being an aspiring attorney, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, and playing golf.

Helping people isn’t just Stacy’s passion, it’s her daily goal at work! In her free time, she enjoys staying active outdoors, including running, cycling, hiking, and playing softball. Stacy also likes reading, watching movies, and bowling in the wintertime.

Kathy enjoys helping each and every client any way she can. A testament to her dedication, she has been with William Mattar law offices for over 20 years! Outside of work, she serves as Secretary of both the Det. Wasyl Potienko Memorial Foundation and the Lancaster Educational Alumni Foundation. Her abundance of Buffalo pride helps her build relationships with each client. In addition to being a fan of helping our clients, she’s also an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

Lisa McHugh’s favorite part of her position is having the opportunity to work as a team to help clients. Lisa loves spending her spare time with her family and two dogs, Chester and Norman. She also enjoys finding new home improvement ideas to tackle.

Janet gets the most enjoyment out of helping her clients and coworkers during the legal process. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, children, and grandsons. Her hobbies include cross-stitching, reading books, bowling, and traveling by car, motorcycle, boat, and airplane.

From Tonawanda, NY, Nicole loves helping people on a personal level. “It feels great when I can solve a problem they are having”, she said. When talking about the Mattar Culture, Nicole says “I really like how happy and pleasant everyone is. There are smiles everywhere you turn!” Outside of work, Nicole is an outside girl- she likes hiking, camping, the beach and working in her gardens. She has a Therapy Dog and regularly volunteers with her, as with a couple of local not-for-profit agencies in her community.

“What I like most about what I do at the firm is helping our clients and trying to make their time with us as easy on them as possible.” Outside of the office, Nikki volunteers at a dog day care in Buffalo. She also spends time walking and enjoying the outdoors with her dog.

Originally from Syracuse, NY, Morgan has had an interest in the field of law since she was little and she loves to help people. She loves her teammates at William Mattar as everyone works together helping clients and each other. Morgan enjoys her personal time with friends from UB, “whether we are going out somewhere or just hanging around the house together.”

Christopher is motivated by the fact that he is able to help people through one of the most difficult times they will ever face. And as he is helping clients, he is energized by the team-oriented nature of the firm and the positive energy displayed by everyone daily. Christopher also has a variety of interests outside of the office. He enjoys reading history books, watching movies and TV shows, speaking and reading German, spending time with friends, bike riding, and enjoying the outdoors.

Sarah has helped develop and expand her department to help service clients in the best ways possible. Her favorite part of being at William Mattar is the team that she works with. One of her many talents and interests outside of the office is cosmetology.

What does Aleshea love most about her job? “I love having the opportunity to offer support and help others walk through a difficult time. Knowing that I have that opportunity every day is something that I wake up and look forward to.” She loves the atmosphere at William Mattar law offices also, saying “The culture here is amazing! I am so thankful that I get to work alongside people who are so kind, encouraging, and supportive.” Outside of her daily routine at the office, she loves to spend time with family and friends and volunteer with the high school youth group at her church. She also loves getting to be outside!

It seems like one big family.” When she is not skillfully helping clients, Samantha can be found reading, working on her book, and hanging out with her husband and cats.

Stephanie is from Lockport, NY, and takes pride in the fact that the documents she processes help our attorneys and paralegals with their cases, which in turn helps our clients. She likes the positive atmosphere and how everyone on her team works well together. Stephanie enjoys the great outdoors, namely kayaking and rollerblading in the summer.

Originally from Texas, Tayler is part of our medical records department. She says she likes helping others and has always had a strong desire to do a good job on any task task at hand, and be the best version of herself. What does she like the most about the culture at William Mattar? She says, “I appreciate how friendly and approachable everyone at the firm is. The sense of community amongst my peers encourages me to come to work each day.” Tayler has many interests and hobbies including skiing, cooking, playing video and tabletop games, woodworking, painting, and building computers and electronics.

Office Assistant

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, David is our Office Assistant. He says, “I enjoy challenging myself and pushing myself to see how quick and efficient I can be when I get into a flow state.” David likes how friendly everyone at the firm is and “how they go out of their way to make me feel welcome.” It’s easy to feel welcome when you are part of a like-minded team focused on helping others. He has many active and creative interests such as playing video games with his friends, spending time at the gym, or shooting/editing videos.

Kelly likes being able to help ease client concerns. She says, “It is a great feeling when you can help someone who has been injured and is nervous about the process.” Kelly’s favorite way to spend her free time is with her children—she even coaches some of their sports teams! Her other hobbies include running and reading new books.

From Lancaster, NY, Anna is passionate about helping people and being in the legal field. Previously a legal assistant with the firm, she now works as a law clerk as she attends law school. Elyse is from Oswego, NY, and is on our Syracuse location team. One of the firm’s mottos is ‘Helping People…it’s What We Do,’ and as she loves to help people, we are a great fit! She says she likes how welcoming the team is to everyone and willing to help each other. Teamwork is essential, and a key to success. Outside of the firm, Elyse can be found golfing, spending time outside, or walking her dogs.

“I love accounting because numbers are always constant and always make sense. It’s comforting knowing that there will always be a solution even if it’s challenging to find it.”  When Julia is not mastering the numbers, she loves spending time with family and friends.

In terms of the actual job, I like working with numbers and love math especially when everything works out in the end. Christine is originally from Elba, NY. She fits in wonderfully with our accounting department, as she has always been number oriented. Christine says she likes the family atmosphere at the firm, and that there are a lot of different activities happening, and committees to join at William Mattar. When she is not focused on bookkeeping, she says, “I enjoy spending time with my family. I love to travel, and am also an avid reader.”

Chris is from Buffalo, NY. He is inspired to work with our accounting team as he views them as having integrity and believing in our work. Chris also likes the firm’s family atmosphere and positive attitude. When he is not making sure that all the numbers add up, he might be found playing the drums or seeing live music.

With a keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for engaging content, Dominique thrives in the fast-paced world of marketing. When she’s not crafting creative campaigns, you can find her exploring new destinations, spending quality time with her adorable niece and nephew, and playing with her beloved fur babies, Luna and Chai.

Ian is from East Aurora, NY. He enjoys working on our marketing team and the opportunity it provides to use his creativity. He says his co-workers are very kind and he loves to help them as much as possible. He’s also greatly inspired by the firm’s culture, and says, “The culture is great! Jack

Social Media Coordinator

From Orchard Park, NY, Jack is part of our Marketing team focusing on social media and loves seeing how media affects our lives. Jack is a great fit for the William Mattar team and tells us how enjoyable it is that his fellow team members are always friendly and welcoming. He has creative interests outside of Marketing, like reading and writing. He can also be found playing D&D and playing recreational league football.

Shirley

General Manager

Shirley joined forces with William Mattar over 25 years ago and has successfully focused on not only helping clients but helping the firm grow as well. She supervises and oversees day-to-day office functions to make them as efficient as possible. She also communicates with clients and makes sure after cases are resolved clients receive their settlements as soon as possible.

Karen

HR Coordinator

Niagara Falls native, Gabe, enjoys being able to help her co-workers in her HR role at the firm. One thing about William Mattar she enjoys most is that it’s a family atmosphere and everyone is friendly and always willing to help each other. Outside of the office, you may find her binge-watching TV shows, playing board games, or spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Cora.

Michael G.

IT Manager

Michael is originally from Lancaster, NY and currently resides in Williamsville where he is also a volunteer firefighter with the Williamsville Fire Department.  During his days with William Mattar, he enjoys knowing that what he does helps our team help our clients. When asked what he likes most about the firm, he says, “I like the professionalism with personal touches. Everyone is very professional, yet with a welcoming family atmosphere. The two of our firm’s core values are ‘support our community’ and ‘love our families’ and those are both important to me.” When he is not fighting fires (figuratively or literally), he enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Alex

IT Systems Administrator

Alex is from Clarence, NY. As part of our I.T. team, he says “I enjoy the technical aspects of the job, along with helping people to solve their everyday issues.” After a fast-paced day working with our team, he enjoys a number of leisure pursuits including golf, skiing, movies, board games, video games,  and Magic: The Gathering.
