No-Fault Claims for Lost Wages

FREE Case Evaluation

Under the New York No-Fault Law, you may be entitled to compensation for lost wages if you’re unable to work due to a car accident injury. In many cases, these payments are combined with New York State disability benefits through your employer and No-Fault insurance benefits.

At William Mattar Law Offices, our car accident injury attorneys can use their understanding of No-Fault insurance coverage to help you get the compensation you’re owed. Our legal staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week—call (844) 444 - 4444 or fill out our free initial consultation form today.

No-Fault Disability Coverage

Basic No-Fault benefits can cover up to $2,000 per month or 80 percent of your lost earnings—whichever is less—for up to three years after your car accident. Some No-Fault insurance policies may have increased benefit limits. In order to qualify for this coverage, your carrier will require verification of your:

  • disability from your doctor
  • employment status
  • income

Your No-Fault insurance carrier will typically contact your doctor and employer to get this information. However, any delays in this process can cause a delay in receiving benefits. So to help protect your legal rights, you may want to follow up with your doctor and employer to ensure these steps are completed.

New York State Disability Benefits

You also will be required to apply for New York State disability benefits. Failure to do so may result in an offset—or reduction—of your No-Fault wage loss benefits. Apply for state disability as soon as possible after an accident to help reduce the chance of a delay or reduction in compensation. If you’ve been injured, the attorneys at William Mattar may be able to help.
