Breast Cancer Awareness

William Mattar Law Offices Go Pink in October to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Each October, cities, towns, and communities across the country are decked out in pink to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Beginning September 28th, William Mattar, P.C. will turn its famous blue logo pink in an effort to raise awareness about breast health.  This initiative also stresses the importance of monthly self-breast exams and regular mammogram screenings. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 13%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. Mammograms save lives, and at William Mattar, we want to remind the women of our community of the importance of routine examinations. And although less common, men can develop breast cancer as well and should be aware of risk factors. Early detection makes successful treatment a possibility in many cases.
