William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools 2025 Program Terms & Conditions

Sponsor The sponsor of the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools Program is William Mattar, P.C. (“Sponsor,” “William Mattar Law Offices” or the “Firm”), 6720 Main Street Suite 100, Williamsville, NY 14221.

Eligibility

Registrants must be a resident of New York State and scheduled to teach kindergarten, elementary, intermediate, or secondary school in New York State during the 2025/2026 school year to register for this program.

Participation

  1. The Pencils 4 Schools Program is not a contest or a sweepstakes. There is no element of chance, and no prizes will be awarded. All eligible registrants will have the ability to receive a bulk box of 250 pencils to be used in a New York classroom during the 2025-2026 academic school year. Sponsor’s goal is to help local educators and students achieve their academic goals. Having enough school supplies on the first day of school is a great way to start.
  2. No purchase or consideration is necessary to register or receive the pencils.
  3. The registration period for the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools Program begins on August 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST. The registration for the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools Program ends on August 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST, but may end earlier if all available pencils are claimed. Please note that filling out a registration form does not guarantee that (i) you are eligible to register/have a valid registration; or (ii) you will receive pencils. Supplies are limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations appears likely to exceed the number of pencils available, we reserve the right to close registrations at that time to ensure that all valid registrants receive pencils. William Mattar, P.C. reserves the right to reject or remove any registrant for any reason should they appear ineligible or the registration be incomplete. Only one registration per person and/or classroom will be accepted.
  4. To verify eligibility, registration will require the entry of certain information, including school district; grade; first and last name; name of school; school address; school county; the registrant’s email address and telephone number. Should any information entered by registrant(s) be determined to be false or fraudulent, the participant will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive the pencils or participate in any future promotional or marketing initiatives. Incomplete or partially completed registration submissions will not be considered.
  5. Registrant(s) may register for the Pencils 4 Schools program only once.
  6. Registrant(s) may register for the William Mattar Pencils 4 Schools Program online (through williammattar.com) ONLY. Sponsor is not responsible for any technical difficulty registrant(s) may face. Such difficulties may include, but are not limited to, busy signals, overload on website, problems, and technical/electronic malfunctions. The Sponsor is also not responsible for registrant(s) having difficulties sending/receiving emails or phone calls or accessing the Sponsor’s website or its social media accounts. Sponsor will not accept registrations through social media, mail, email, fax, telephone, or in person.
  7. As noted, registrant(s) are not guaranteed to receive a pencil donation for their classroom. Distribution of pencil donations will depend on availability of supplies and the eligibility of the registrant.

Pencil Pickup

  1. There is to be only one registration per person.
  2. DONATION(S): The first four hundred twenty five (425) eligible registrants will be given an opportunity to receive a bulk box of 250 pencils. Thus, the Sponsor agrees to make available for giveaway no more than 106,250 pencils (425 valid registrants x 250 pencils) as part of this program (Program Total). The Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute an item of equal or lesser value if the pencils should become unavailable for any eligible registrant. Sponsor is not responsible for any policy of any other person or entity that may prevent the acceptance or full use of pencils. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced pencils once issued to registrant and will not reissue or replace any such donations. Accurate information must be provided upon registration. The sponsor will exercise reasonable diligence to ensure that information supplied during registration is accurate but is not responsible for ensuring or guaranteeing that supplied information is fully accurate and complete.
  3. DONATION DISTRIBUTION: Eligible recipients who will be given an opportunity to receive a bulk box of 250 pencils will be notified via email beginning on or about August 12, 2025. Upon receiving confirmation of a pencil donation in the form of an email, with a subject line of ‘Pencils 4 Schools Pickup Invitation,’ participant(s) in the Buffalo, NY area are responsible for picking up their pencils at the designated pickup location of 6720 Main Street, Williamsville, NY, 14221 between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on August 16, 2025. If participant(s) receive notification that they are to receive pencils, they must comply with all Program rules as published. Anyone who is to receive pencils and cannot be at the pickup location on August 16, 2025, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am MUST designate another person to represent them and pick up pencils on their behalf. We must adhere to this policy, as pencil phone calls and drop-ins at our law firm after the event can disrupt our daily service to regular clients. Any participant(s) deemed eligible to receive pencils who reside and teach in the Western New York Area (which, for purposes of this program, includes Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming, Genesee, and Orleans counties) are required to pick up their pencils on the designated date of August 16, 2025, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am at 6720 Main Street, Williamsville, NY 14221. Any participant(s) deemed eligible to receive pencils who reside and teach outside of the Western New York area can have pencils shipped directly to the school address provided at program registration.
  4. If you register for one program or campaign, you ARE NOT automatically registered for all of them. You must register your information for each program or campaign you wish to participate in. Please note there may be more than one program taking place at any given time.
  5. The Sponsor is not responsible for attempting to contact eligible recipients more than once. Sponsor will send an email to the email address provided by registrant(s) on the online registration form. Should a participant not respond by picking up their pencils on one of the dates listed above, then sponsor holds no further obligation to that participant and the pencils may be donated to another classroom.
  6. There is no cash redemption or any exchanges of donations.
  7. Sponsor is not responsible for the reimbursement or replacement of pencils.
  8. The Sponsor has the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the operation and conduct of the program if any suspicion or belief arises that the program has been subject to tampering, fraud, or other irregularities.
  9. William Mattar Law Offices will make the final decisions. Registrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions by registering. The Sponsor has no responsibility for losses, injuries, or damages caused by accepting these terms and conditions and entering programs. Terms and agreements are subject to change. It is the registrant’s responsibility to check the terms and conditions on a regular basis to make sure they are aware of any modifications and still agree to follow such rules and regulations. The Sponsor reserves the right to delete, alter, or add in any terms, conditions, and rules. If, having reviewed a deleted, altered, or new term, condition, or rule the registrant would no longer like to participate in this promotion, registrant should email marketing@williammattar.com and advise that participation has been withdrawn.
  10. Sponsor shall not be held responsible or liable should there be a printing, publishing, transmission, communication error, or other technical error as it relates to the program or campaign, including but not limited to the type or number of pencils to be given away.
  11. Sponsor has the right to cancel or abandon the program or campaign at any time or the right to do anything it chooses within the bounds of the law to either remedy a given error, problem, situation, or to discontinue.
  12. Registrant(s) and/or participant(s) shall release, indemnify, and defend William Mattar, P.C. and its managers, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgements, settlements, interests, awards, penalties, fines, costs, expenses of whatever kind, including professional and attorney fees arising out of any claim alleging any breach or non-fulfillment of any representation warranty or covenant, negligence, omission, injury, bodily injury, or death relating to this program.
  13. Registrants must agree to terms of the Privacy Statement contained on Firm’s website, available at: https://www.williammattar.com/disclaimer/, except that registrants will be given an opportunity on the registration form to opt in or out of receiving future promotional information via the provided contact information.
