June 7, 2013 Not only do the Rochester Personal Injury Lawyers with the William Mattar Law Offices love helping those in need after a motor vehicle accident, they enjoy giving back to the community they serve in other ways as well. This past Tuesday, William Mattar participated in Flower City Habitat for Humanity’s Leaders Build. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that brings communities together to construct homes for those in need. The latest build was the 14th Annual Leaders Build in the Flower City. It brought together numerous CEOs, presidents, and other business leaders, like Mattar, to create a new home for a family in Rochester's JOSANA neighborhood. Mattar worked on a crew that installed first level floor joists and framed an opening for a stairwell inside a new home. The most rewarding part for Mattar was meeting one of the families that would soon be living in the new homes being built by the group. The JOSANA Neighborhood Renewal Project started in 2007 as a way to combat poverty in the neighborhood. So far, 36 homes have been completed and Habitat for Humanity hopes to complete a total of 100 homes by the end of the project. Community Service is a top priority for Mattar and his team. He hopes to work with Habitat for Humanity again, and encourages other community members to consider doing the same.
