Failure to Yield Results in Buffalo Car Accident Injuring One

October 16, 2013 The New York Department of Motor Vehicles reports that 307,550 motor vehicle accidents occurred in 2011, resulting in 1,077 fatalities and 128,036 people being seriously injured. A story from WGRZ 2 News stated the incident happened on Oct. 5, at approximately 5:45 p.m. at the corner of Fillmore Avenue and Clinton Street in Buffalo. The woman was driving her vehicle towards the intersection and had a green light. As she attempted to pass through the crossing, a large commercial van ran a red light halting traffic along the other road and collided with the side of the victim’s vehicle. The woman was seriously injured as a result of the impact and was rushed to a local hospital.
