May 16, 2012 The driver of a stolen vehicle on Interstate 787 in Albany, New York, on Saturday, May 12, caused two cars and a motorcycle to crash. TimesUnion.com reports that a teenage driver was traveling northbound in a stolen 2005 Ford near midnight when he collided numerous times with a guardrail. The Ford had been reported stolen on May 8. Two northbound cars and one northbound motorcycle then wrecked while trying to avoid the Ford. The 24-year-old driver of the motorcycle, from Troy, had to be taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was treated for injuries. The stolen car was driven by a teenager from Troy, New York, and contained two passengers, both age 16 and residents of Troy. The passengers fled the scene of the crash but were later located by officers a mile away from the site. They were treated for non-serious injuries at Albany Medical Center, charged with possession of stolen property and released to their parents. The teen driver, now being held at Albany County jail, was charged with possessing stolen property and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
