Child Passenger Safety Seat Event in Troy Tomorrow

August 19, 2013 Motor vehicle safety is a top priority for many citizens in New York and for most that means always buckling a seat belt. What many motorists do not realize is that seat belts are not designed to protect children from Car Accident Injuries. This makes using child safety seats vital when transporting young ones. However, many drivers do not understand how to properly install these devices to protect children. In fact, research has shown that nine out of ten motorists improperly install child safety seats in their vehicles. In an effort to teach motorists how to utilize these life-saving pieces of equipment, the Rensselaer County Law Enforcement Association and the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department are conducting a free child passenger safety check tomorrow. According to an article from The Bennington Banner, the event will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Center Brunswick Fire Station on Hoosick Road in Troy, New York. During the event, experts will check participants’ safety seats in their vehicles to ensure they are installed correctly. Seats will be inspected by appointment or walk-in. The Buffalo Personal Injury Lawyers with William Mattar Law Offices applaud the efforts being made to protect children from the dangers of motor vehicle accidents and encourage anyone in the area with a child to visit the event.
