Since the start of the New York State lockdown, William Mattar law offices has donated thousands of face masks to front-line workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who work on the front-line are at a higher risk of exposure to the virus and require personal protective equipment (PPE) in order to continue working safely. Attorney William Mattar saw this critical need and led the distribution of face masks to the community’s essential workers, including first responders, firefighters, doctors and other healthcare professionals. “At William Mattar, we are always looking for ways to support the community. That’s why we are proud to have donated masks to our front-line workers during this difficult time. We are grateful for all of the first responders who help to keep us safe,” said William Mattar. William Mattar’s donations have helped a local volunteer fire department and over 50 doctor’s offices in Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse in need of protective masks. William Mattar also donated 100 masks to the Bar Association of Erie County (BAEC) Face Mask Campaign. The BAEC, in partnership with the Westminster Economic Development Initiative (WEDI) and Grassroots Garden, will distribute the masks to people in the community who may not have access to PPE. Going forward, William Mattar’s goal is to distribute a total of 20,000 face masks throughout the community to help in the fight against COVID-19.
