GM ADDS 7.6 MILLION VEHICLES TO IGNITION SWITCH RECALL

Buffalo, New York (July 2, 2014) – General Motors (GM) announced yesterday that it has recalled 7.6 million additional vehicles due to defective ignition components. This brings the total of ignition-related recalls to 15.3 million, according to GM’s 2014 North American recalls list. Sixty-one crashes and 16 deaths have been linked to the ignition component defects. (Reuters, June 30)
